The Advancements in Treating Skull Asymmetries and Related Body Issues with A Cosmetic Dentist

One of the most important things when meeting new people is the first impression. You can never get a first impression back, which why it’s so important to make a great first impression. If you lack confidence in your appearance, you may hurt or disrupt your first impression. If you’re interested in how Single Visit Dentistry can improve one’s body balance and alignment to appear more attractive, then continue reading about Single Visit Dentistry’s Facial Beauty and Balance services!

What Is Cranial-Facial-Orthopedics?

According to the Golden Proportions Principle, our eye detects a change in the form before we can consciously comprehend it. Cranial-Facial-Orthopedics is the correction of body issues that we have had since our birth that we have adapted to over our lives and have accepted as unchangeable. Over time, we become less able to adapt and will start to have other body issues as a result. Many adults suffer from skull asymmetries and related body issues that force them to feel disconnected from their own bodies. Fortunately, Single Visit Dentistry is the only dental office in Florida that addresses these asymmetries and related body issues to help individuals create a balanced and beautiful facial form. For years, Single Visit Dentistry has been treating adult orthodontic patients and, in our experience, tooth realignment must be coordinated with the orthopedic realignment of the tooth-supporting dental arches in order to create that beautiful facial form.

Alternative Lightwire Functional

With Single Visit Dentistry’s years of treating orthodontic patients, our professionals have found that certain conclusions are evident.

  • Birth Trauma
  • Bottle Feeding
  • Sleep Habits
  • Breathing Problems that affect growth and development

These factors can result in asymmetries of the head, dental arches, crowded teeth, and unexpected body issues that can have a debilitating effect on an individual. To combat these evident conclusions, we have implemented a hidden and unobtrusive “light wire functional appliance” named “ALF” (Alternative Lightwire Functional) appliance that was developed by Dr. Darick Nordstrom. Over time, the ALF will unlock the distorted bones of the skull, correcting the shape of the dental arches, and creating room to realign the teeth without requiring extraction procedures. These corrections have produced unexpected improvementsself-consciousness in body balance and alignment. As treatment progresses, patients have stated that they finally have the confidence in their appearance and in their smile.

Single Visit Dentistry is proud to be the only dental office in Florida to offer Cranial-Facial-Orthopedics and ALF therapy for our gracious patients. People come from all over the state of Florida and some from out-of-state to seek the cosmetic dentist solutions that we provide. Some of the issues that Single Visit Dentistry has corrected using our Facial Beauty and Balance services include

  • Headaches
  • Jaw Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Front or Back Head Pain
  • Birth issues
  • Mouth Breathers
  • Bottle Feeding History
  • Lisping
  • Snorers
  • Sleep Apnea
  • And Much more!

For thirty years, Single Visit Dentistry has been utilizing ALF appliances with and without brackets with successful results. Currently, we are using ALF’s for orthopedics and clear aligners if needed. ALF appliance is as much of a Philosophy of treatment as it is a treatment device. The ALF appliance applies a light force against the dental arches that are being treated by redirecting the force of the teeth coming together when we chew and/or swallow. If you’re ready to begin feeling like your best self and correct body issues from birth, then call Single Visit Dentistry today at (954)870-4781 to schedule your appointment!

The Technological Advances in Cosmetic Dentistry

With all the technological advances in society, it can be hard to keep up. While your smartphone may be slimmer and faster than ever before, innovations in dental instruments are also improving! Why does this affect you? Because now patients are required to be in the dental chair for less time, meaning less discomfort, more positive results, and no more fear of dentists! A cutting-edge instrument called the Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEREC for short is allowing more and more dentists to quickly restore damaged teeth with natural-colored ceramic fillings, saving patients time and inconvenience. If you suffer from damaged teeth, then continue reading to learn all the benefits that come from a CEREC Cosmetic visit with Dr. Edwin C. Delz DDS, PA at Single Visit Dentistry.

CEREC Cosmetic Dentistry Pompano Beach

The CEREC allows dentists to economically restore damaged teeth in a single appointment using a high-quality ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth. The technology used in this groundbreaking device is CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology. In the CEREC, the instrument incorporates a camera, computer, and milling machine into a single dentistry instrument! This dentistry instrument allows dentists to capture accurate pictures of the damaged tooth and display the design for the tooth restoration on a color computer screen using the CAD technology to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and automatically creates the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth. The whole process can be down in as little as an hour!

Many patients would hide their beautiful smile due to the silver fillings previously used. However, with the advancements made through the CEREC, your tooth filling will be natural-looking, compatible with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive, and plaque-resistant. Gone are the days of having to create temporaries or take impressions that are required to be sent to a lab, forcing you to return for the traditional second visit. Now, dentists can provide better and more camouflaged tooth fillings in just one visit! With over a decade of clinical research and documentation to support the CEREC, the restorations have been proven precise, safe, and effective.

The Single Visit Dentistry Difference

Dr. Delz has always been an advocate for using advanced computer technology in the dental office. Since the 1980s, Dr. Delz has used a computer software system that managed patient treatment information. Originally running on one of the first personal computers available, Dr. Delz has constantly updated this software and continue to implement it in his dentistry. Now owned by the Kodak company, this computer program was the start of the technological advances in oral health.

To improve our diagnostic skills and provide better treatment for our patients, Single Visit Dentistry has invested in multiple software programs over the years to make the dentist a more comfortable place for patients. We acquired the One Visit CADCAM Cosmetic restoration equipment for in-office dental restorations five years ago and since then we have been able to provide our patients with the best restorative service since the all gold restoration went out of style. Today in our office a patient can have an all-porcelain crown prepared, manufactured by the computer, and placed with no impression, no temporary, and no second visit.

By using all the available advancements in technology in our dentistry, we decided to rebrand our business and to rename ourselves the “Single Visit Dentistry.” By only needing one visit, patients suffer from less trauma and needless accessory procedures that the patient must endure. The resulting restoration process at Single Visit Dentistry is more aesthetic, more resistant to wear, and will last longer. If you’re interested in CEREC Cosmetic dentistry or learning more about what technology we use in our offices to make it a better appointment for you, then please feel free to call our office at (954) 870-4781. We will be happy to answer your questions about this new technology.
